In two days’ time Luxury Roundtable hosts the Luxury Marketing Summit May 13 in New York. Nearly 175 marketers will gather to discuss the pressing need of the day: how to encourage the luxury customer to get back in the market and up basket size amidst the ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges?

Here’s the funny thing. Even as we navigate an uneven global economy, wealth creation is at its highest. In the U.S., the Dow Jones index hovers near 50,000, employment numbers were strong in the latest labor report and consumer spending has held up.

Worldwide, we’re generating 89 new ultra-high-net-worth individuals daily – folks worth more than $30 million in assets. Indeed, the global UHNW population rose from 551,435 to 713,626 between 2021 and 2026, per a leading wealth researcher.

The trick is to convince the discerning luxury customer that your product or service is better than the competition’s. That your offering is worth investing in and coming back for more on a regular basis. That your brand can be trusted and syncs with the customer's value system. That the customer experience is on-brand across all channels.

Three dozen speakers from across more than a dozen luxury sectors will share their insights and analysis on how targeted, relationship-oriented marketing helps grow their businesses across all weather, fair and rough. Marketing leaders of some of the leading luxury brands worldwide, they’re also looking to forge ties with delegates in the room who will have traveled from more than two dozen destinations to network and exchange insights.

Marketing is about getting your quality product’s story right and creating lasting desire among customers and prospects. As former GE executive Beth Comstock once said, “You can’t sell anything if you can’t tell anything.”
